A large European distribution center converted its flat metal roof into a distributed PV plant, requiring large-scale rapid deployment while guaranteeing roof waterproofing and wind-uplift resistance.
Penetrations in the metal roof risk water leakage; array edges face significant wind uplift; the owner wanted to minimize downtime. Mixed fastener types would also raise tooling and training cost.
FASTKING supplied roof fasteners with EPDM rubber washers and rail clamps. The washer forms a durable waterproof seal at each penetration; clamps use a single hex-driver size across the whole site, greatly lowering installation complexity. Critical joints were reinforced and torque-checked for wind-uplift loads.
Zero-leakage handover, array passed local wind-load validation, and a unified driver cut installation labor by about 25%, bringing the warehouse online with minimal downtime.
