Solar Racking Bolt and Nut Product Series

PV racking systems consist of posts, rails, braces and clamps, every joint fixed by bolts and nuts—joint quality decides structural safety and stable module mounting. The solar fastener range covers rail joints, beam bolts, module clamp bolts and grounding hardware, matched to profiles and modules for reliable installation and long-term corrosion protection.

PV plants run outdoors for over 25 years, so fasteners endure wind, temperature swings and humidity—material and corrosion demands exceed typical outdoor equipment.

Rail and Beam Joint Bolts

Main joints use M8, M10 and M12 bolts, mainly grade 8.8, with matched nuts and washers for preload and stiffness. T-bolts and saddle bolts speed assembly with heads matching profile slots to prevent rotation and raise site efficiency.

Bolt length follows profile and plate thickness; after tightening, typically 2-3 threads protrude for secure clamping without interference. Field crews must tighten to design torque.

In high-wind areas, bolt grade and count follow structural calculation—larger sizes or more joints where needed.

Module Clamps and Bolts

Mid and end clamps fix module frames; clamp size must match frame height and width. Clamp bolts are commonly M8 with spring and flat washers for stable clamping without coating damage, preventing clamps loosening and module slippage.

Bifacial modules and high-wind sites need clamp force checks—wider clamps or more clamps, with torque per racking maker specs and field torque-wrench sampling.

Rubber or insulating pads between clamps and frames prevent galvanic corrosion and stress concentration, extending frame and fastener life.

Materials and Corrosion Protection

SUS304/316 stainless and hot-dip galvanized carbon steel are the two main families. Stainless suits coastal and corrosive sites, with SUS316 resisting chlorides better near the sea; galvanized carbon serves general outdoor racks, with life tied to coating thickness.

Watch galvanic corrosion between bolts and profiles; use insulating washers or compatible materials, and inspect rust and loosening during periodic checks.

Grounding and Accessories

Reliable bonding needs grounding bolts, grounding washers and lock washers between frames and racking. Contact resistance must meet specs, with anti-loosening measures against vibration for lightning protection and electrical safety.

Washers, spring washers and lock nuts are supplied per joint function; weather-resistant washer materials avoid aging failure outdoors.

Selection and Technical Service

Supply follows racking drawings or BOM, verifying size, quantity and material to avoid site shortages. Batch projects include material certificates and salt spray reports for EPC and owner acceptance.
